There are many peaceful parks near major sports venues where athletes can find an open bench or, weather permitting, spread a blanket on the grass.

Right near Starfire Sports is Fort Dent Park, a small park with some picnic tables under leafy trees, grassy areas, and a paved riverside path.

At nearby Angle Lake Park, a hidden oasis in SeaTac just minutes from the airport, players can get a spectacular view of Mount Rainier on clear days and a covered picnic area.

Or, they can enjoy a peaceful pause at the Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden, which is free and open to the public year-round. Thoughtful planting means there’s something to admire in every season.

These low-key stops give teams and families time to reconnect between games.
