Activate, a gaming center that opened in 2026 in Tukwila, turns physical movement into interactive gameplay. Step into one of dozens of high-tech game rooms where you'll climb, dodge, jump, and solve puzzles as glowing lights and digital challenges react to your every move. Games range from quick, fast-paced competitions to team-based problem solving. While you might think a gaming complex might primarily attract kids, the truth is the opposite! While it is certainly a family-friendly activity, the majority of players at Activate are adults, and it's a popular choice for friend groups, date nights, or team-building outings. Just be sure to wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes—you'll be moving!

At the Museum of Flight in Tukwila, you can journey through the history of aviation and spaceflight, from the Wright brothers to missions to Mars. The massive Aviation Pavilion houses an original Air Force One, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the Concorde, a B-17 “Flying Fortress,” and many other historic aircraft. Inside the museum, you’ll find more aircraft and interactive, kid-friendly exhibits. The flight simulators, 3D movie theater, and cockpit experiences make the museum feel like a theme park. Check out the Personal Courage Wing to see real WWII and WWI fighter planes. And before you go, stop by the gift shop, where you'll find a wide variety of aviation and space-themed toys, books, models, apparel, and more. It's a great place to pick up a unique gift.

The Highline Heritage Museum in Burien offers a captivating look into the history and cultures of the region. Several exhibits feature strange and fascinating chapters of Seattle Southside history. Among its most intriguing permanent displays is a life-sized replica of the skeleton of a giant ground sloth that roamed the area more than 12,000 years ago. Its remains were discovered during the building of SEA Airport, and the skeleton is a glimpse into the prehistoric world that once existed here. There's also an exhibit on D.B. Cooper, who committed the greatest heist in aviation history.

Experience two large touch tanks, see massive skeletons of a whale and other marine life, and learn all about the marine life of Puget Sound.

At Seattle Chocolate Factory (makers of Maeve and jcoco chocolates), you can take a guided tour of the sprawling, colorful factory while learning all about the joyful labor of truffle production from professional chocolatiers. You'll learn how this legendary local company ethically sources chocolate from across the globe and sample plenty of sweets along the way. The brand is known for its unique, creative flavors, like Champagne, Moon Rocks, and Mexican Hot Chocolate, to name just a few. After your tour, you can stock up on a bulk bag of mix-and-match truffles in the gift shop.
